hi! i'd really like to come over on friday. *but* -- we are scheduled to go down to long island this weekend for my SO's nephew's performance in his school play. we're not yet sure whether we're leaving on friday or saturday, and so i'm not yet sure if i'll be free on friday night. and so... i hope that a genuine, solid "i'd really like to but may not be able to make it for reasons outside of my control; and if this doesn't work, would you like to get together some weekend afternoon to drink tea, compare stitches [i knit], and generally hang out?" will do as a reply....
